Welcome to the world inside my head.

I’m Bets, the founder and creative force behind BOBO1325, a multi-award-winning Northern design house designing wallpaper, textiles and objects for interiors that refuse to be ordinary.

The city gave me fire. The sea gave me soul. The mountains made me. I’m Beth, Bets to most and Bobo – my childhood nickname, to some. Having grown up surrounded by nature on the shores of Australia and the North East of England BOBO1325 was born from a lifelong fascination with stories, symbolism, colour and the wonderfully strange world around us. Every collection begins somewhere different: a forgotten story, a social injustice, a childhood memory, a half-remembered dream, a piece of history or simply a thought I can’t quite shake and always rooted with the power of nature and elemental forces.

I have always believed that design should make you feel something. My work is often provocative, sometimes poetic and occasionally a little rebellious. It sits somewhere between beauty and mischief, romance and melancholy, reality and imagination. There are layers to uncover, stories hidden in the details and often a little darkness beneath the pretty.

Every design begins by hand in my studio. I draw, paint, scribble, experiment and allow ideas to evolve naturally before transforming them into intricate wallpapers, fabrics and interior products. I am drawn to the imperfect, the eccentric and the unexpected, because life’s too short for beige.

BOBO1325 is an open invitation into the world inside my head. A world filled with symbolism, curiosity, colour and contradiction. Where nostalgia collides with rebellion, beauty meets the bizarre and nothing is ever quite as innocent as it first appears. From my studio, surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the North, I continue to create collections inspired by the world we live in, celebrating the bold, questioning the ordinary and occasionally causing a little mischief along the way.
